The United Way of Monroe County (http://www.monroeunitedway.org/) has put together a comprehensive online community resource guide called 2-1-1. With the help of 2-1-1, you can identify all sorts of community resources such as counseling services, childcare, economic assistance, educational services, and so on. Stepping Stones Transitional Housing

http://www.steppingstones-inc.org

Stepping Stones provides transitional housing and supportive services to youth aged 16 to 20 who are experiencing homelessness. We provide each resident with a furnished two-bedroom apartment which is shared with another resident. Our staffed community center, including a live-in Resident Assistant, is a place for life skills coaching and training, job skills training and support, educational support, case management and counseling, support groups and social events, and guidance in obtaining permanent housing.
