Dear Parent/Service Provider:

Please make sure you are familiar with the policies for the Binkley House. You are responsible for knowing the rules of the shelter. Failure to comply could jeopardize program effectiveness for your youth, result in their possible discharge, and may also affect future placements you may request.

Please make sure to bring the following items:

• 5 changes of clothing, slippers, appropriate sleepwear, shoes

• immunization records (obtained from school or family doctor)

• social security card

• medications with prescriptions on the bottle

Do:

• make an appointment with the assigned counselor within 72 hours of admission

• check with the counselor regarding special appointments, outings, and visits

• pre-pay lunches one time per week at youth’s school during school season

• plan to provide transportation for any approved outings/appointments

• call your child/client during calling hours (3pm-9pm) when possible

Do Not:

• bring money for youth/client

• visit outside of regular hours without prior approval of counselor

• bring visitors outside immediate household unless approved by counselor

• bring food

• allow your youth/client to smoke during visitation

• trade clothing or bring personal items after initial inventory

Your cooperation will help make this a more workable process for everyone involved.

Is my child/client eligible for admission?
